Venice

March 2018.

Approximately 20 million tourists come to visit Venice every year. Where once 200,000 people lived, nowadays only 50,000 inhabitants remain. And that number is shrinking, due to more and more appartments being rented out or sold to people from outside. If you do the the math and look at the average number of visitors per day per year, this means there’s more visitors coming per day than there’s inhabitants left…
I actually prefer to visit a place like Venice during the colder days of the year. There’s less people crowding the place than in the summer, and the ever changing weather makes it way more interesting for photography.
